The Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) held the Second International Scientific Conference “Abova Readings” on “Origins and protection of civil and family rights: traditional and newest approaches” in honor of the prominent scholar, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Professor Tamara Abova.

The conference was attended by academicians and corresponding members of the RAS, leading domestic and foreign scholars, representatives of Russian and foreign academic and educational institutions, the Eurasian Economic Union member states, public authorities and law enforcement agencies, practicing lawyers and entrepreneurs.

Yuri Monastyrsky spoke at the conference on the contractual settlement of liability under the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
